If someone told 6-year-old me cooking on a hot plate in my grandmother’s kitchen that I’d one day run my own catering company, I probably would’ve smiled and kept stirring. Because even then, I knew food was my thing. But more than that, I knew food had power. The power to bring people together, to comfort, to celebrate, to heal.
I started DISHIN’ with D’Lea in 2023, just trying to share the flavors I love: spicy bowls, seafood, buffalo chicken dip—all the good stuff. What I didn’t expect was the love that came pouring back in. Bookings rolled in. Support showed up. And before I knew it, this wasn’t just food it was a movement.
Through private dinners, catered brunches, and even a few celebrity plates, I’ve stayed rooted in the same thing: soulful flavor, bold creativity, and genuine connection. Every dish I make still has a little piece of home in it and a whole lot of heart.
So this blog? It’s just another way to share the journey. I’ll be posting behind-the-scenes looks, tips from my kitchen, favorite recipes, and updates on where I’m cooking next.
